Current Designs are not mission critical: if there is a power outage there is a 15 to 30 second delay before the diesel back up generation can cover the load.
ESD’s system incorporates the addition of an Uninterruptable Power Supply to eliminate this drop in coverage that can damage equipment and make a safe environment unsafe placing personnel at unnecessary risk.
This is a preventable risk that not need exist.
