Install a system with no out-of-pocket expense

ESD brings third-party investors together to offer flexible funding. Choose the option that fits your balance sheet.

Cash purchase

Own the system outright and capture every incentive.

  • 10% federal tax credit on project cost
  • 50% first-year depreciation write-off
  • MACRS depreciation on the remaining 50%
  • Potential utility rebate

Lease purchase

Spread the cost with a buyout option.

  • Zero out-of-pocket cost for a turnkey system
  • Buyout option at year 11 at an 80% discount
  • You pay for maintenance and insurance
  • You pay for natural gas

Incentive and tax figures vary by project and change over time. Your proposal will show current numbers for your system.

Each store also gained more reliable power and lower CO2 emissions, and uses PG&E power only for the remaining need.
