Cogeneration
Reliable on-site power that raises your system efficiency from 50% to 80% and reduces your energy production cost by an average of 50%.
Electricity and heat from one fuel source
Natural gas drives a generator, which produces electricity. Cogeneration happens when you capture and reuse the generator’s exhaust heat for heating and cooling needs: space heating, hot water, pools and spas, steam, and absorption cooling.
- Cogeneration electricity costs less than utility power
- Cogeneration technology is up to 90% efficient
- Units can be stacked, from 200 kW to 1 MW and beyond, and run only as many as you need
- With SeamlessPowr™, your facility is protected against utility power failures

Why one fuel beats two
Most facilities get power from two sources: electricity from the utility, and natural gas burned in boilers for hot water. Cogeneration equipment makes hot water nearly as efficiently as a boiler, and produces an equal amount of energy as electricity at the same time.
Conventional: utility power plus an on-site boiler
Two fuel sources, one for electricity and one for heat.
Cogeneration
One fuel source produces both electricity and usable heat.
Built for daily operation
A single 200 kW module is about the size of a large double refrigerator and fits in the footprint of one parking space. It runs about as loud as a dishwasher, and can be housed in a sound-attenuated enclosure to meet local permit limits. Suppliers typically include a 10-year maintenance warranty covering scheduled and unscheduled service, with remote monitoring.
